During the first half term year seven students were invited to apply for the position of Junior Head. This is a position of responsibility within the year group and as a result comes with great responsibility and opportunities for leadership. Throughout the year Junior Heads assist with whole school events and parental tours, plan and deliver assemblies and act as a ‘student voice’ for our year group. They are role models within the year group and endeavour to work with the Head of Year to create and maintain a highly positive learning environment for all pupils. After a rigorous application process, including both a formal written letter and informal interview, eight Junior Heads have been selected to take on the role. Mr Kibble presented the students with a badge to wear with pride on their blazer. We very much look forward to seeing what these students achieve throughout the year. The application process will reopen at the beginning of Term 2 for any further students who wish to take on this role.
