GCSE results 2011

Batley Grammar School pupils are, once again, celebrating excellent GCSE results this week. 89% of the year 11 pupils achieved at least five grade A*-C grades.   Top performers in this cohort of just 36 pupils were Sohail Khan and Olivia Lajca who passed ten subjects at A* or A, followed closely by Hannah Brayshaw with nine A* or A grades. Other top performers with at least 6 A* or A grades included Avneet Cheema, Jade Edwards, Natasha Ferguson, Farah Khaleeq and Jenny Senior.

Mrs Tullie, the Head, expressed her delight with the results, and passed on her congratulations to her students and staff.  “With 62% of all grades at the A*-B level, our year 11 group has performed well this year, and students can all be rightly proud of their achievements.”
