Transport
 
Batley Grammar School is served by a reliable public transport route from all major cities, and there is a bus shelter at the bottom of Carlinghow Hill. Batley train station is approximately 2 miles away.
There will soon be a new public service from Morley, stopping near school on Carlinghow Hill.
 
One relatively cheap option is to buy a bus pass (around £6.50), contact Education Transport (0113 348 11 22) for further details or link to the METRO BUS PASS web site.
 

           

School operates several bus routes, and currently has vacancies on one from Huddersfield :
starting from St. Georges Square and calling at Cavalry Arms on Birkby Road, Fixby (Trout Farm), Roberttown, Headlands Road End, Pack Horse Inn, Gomersal Hill Top, Dewsbury Road End, Oakwell Hall, Birstall (Bradford Road).
 
 
 
Namibia
 
During Summer 2007 members of the CCF will go to Namibia.
 
They will go on Safari, explore the country and take supplies to a local school.
