The Parents’ Association and Friends of Priestley House work together to arrange social and fund raising events to support the learning experience of all the children in school, whatever their age.

June 30th 2007 saw the second successful Summer Gala organised by Friends of Priestley House. Although the weather was poor it was well attended by many pupils, staff and parents who enjoyed themselves immensely.

There were the usual stalls including tombola, soft toys, bottle tombola, jam jar stall, lucky dip, books and plants.  There was the opportunity to buy Asian food, cakes, biscuits, sweets, strawberries and other refreshments.  We were well supported by trade stands such as jewellery, accessories, photography and glass ware.

There was a bouncy castle, beat the goalie, hook a duck and other games set up in the sports hall for those who felt energetic.  There were also stalls and games organised by the CCF to help fund their forthcoming trip to Namibia.

We would like to thank all those who supported and helped at the Gala to make it a great success. We raised approximately £1,300.
