All the children in Priestley House from Nursery to Year 6, irrespective of their race, religion, home language, gender, disability or learning difficulty are able to use the facilities of our Before and after School Club, free of charge, up till 5pm (official end of After School Club). However, there is a charge of £10 per ½ hour or part thereof after 5pm.
In the morning, all children from Foundation and Key Stage 1 are supervised by Mrs K Dodgson, one of our teaching assistants, and a Key Stage 1 teacher, in the Old Library. At 8.30 a.m. the children then go to their own classrooms and are placed in the care of their class teacher. In Key Stage 2, children are allowed into their classrooms from 8.00 a.m. onwards. These children also have the choice to go to Breakfast Club in the school dining room, where they are allowed toast and water or milk. They must, however, be back in their own classrooms at 8.30 a.m.
After school, from 3.30 – 4.00 p.m. Foundation, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 children are supervised by class teachers in the Nursery, an infant or junior classroom. At 4.00 p.m. all the children are then cared for in the Old Library (until 5.00 p.m.) by Mrs M Woolner, one of our school assistants and a senior member of the teaching staff.
