Reception follow the Foundation Stage guidelines with extra emphasis on mathmatical development and literacy and the children are encouraged to be independent and active learners.
The Reception has 24 children aged between four and five years old and is one form entry.
As well as the formal teaching, the children have access to role-play and sand and water activities.
Reception is taught by a fully qualified teacher and an experienced teaching assistant.
