Admission to Batley Grammar School at 11+ is by examination. The entrance examination takes place on a Saturday morning in January, and comprises a verbal reasoning test, and English test and a Mathematics test. The English and Mathematics tests are designed in house, and we believe we are extremely good at spotting potential in our candidates. Experience shows that we select those for whom we can provide a suitable education.
The first step is to register. In due course, a registration form may be made available on this website, but in the meantime please telephone the school office and we will send you full details and a registration form. Once you have completed and returned this you can relax somewhat, as we will get in touch with you again with an invitation to the examination.
We hold an open evening in October, but we are also happy to show you the school in action at any time. We are so confident that you will compare us favourably with any school you care to mention that we have an open door policy.
