- The Combined Cadet Force, and the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award
- Music, through personal lessons, and through the concert band and choir
- Drama productions, regularly organised by the English Department
- The Community Placement Schemes, through which our students help at local Nursing Homes and Primary Schools, including our own Primary School, Priestley House
- The Community Service Group, raising money and supporting local charities
- The Interact Club, raising funds for international relief efforts
- Enrichment activities which form part of curriculum time
- School teams in a variety of sports
- Residential field trips, and a variety of trips and student exchanges
