Other aspects of Sixth Form life are important to both school and students. In addition to academic studies, we want Sixth Form students to take advantage of some of the many opportunities on offer to them. These include:

The Combined Cadet Force, and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme

Music, through personal lessons, and through the concert band and choir

Drama productions, regularly organised by the English Department

The Community Placement Schemes, through which our students help at local Nursing Homes and Primary Schools, including our own Primary School, Priestley House

The Community Service Group, raising money and supporting local charities

The Interact Club, raising funds for international relief efforts

Enrichment activities which form part of curriculum time

School teams in a variety of sports

Residential field trips, and a variety of trips and student exchanges
