A Level Results 2007

 

Batley Grammar School Year 13 students are celebrating the school’s second best A Level results ever.
 
There was another excellent pass rate of 97%, with 29% of all grades being at the top A grade and 56% of all grades either A or B grade.
 
‘I am extremely proud of the achievements of this very hardworking group of year 13 students. They fully deserve their great success. Nearly all our students will have obtained their first choice university places.’
 
 

Special congratulations go to School Captain Rebecca Lester, who achieved grade As in all five of her A Levels: Biology, Chemistry, Geography, Business Studies and General Studies.
 
Zahra Maka achieved four grade As in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and French, and Sarah Liu obtained A grades in all three of her subjects: Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry.
 
Six other students obtained A or B grades in at least three subjects: Richard Wyatt (2A, 2B), Fiona Hepworth (1A, 2B), Nicole Walters (1A, 2B), Kathryn Paley (1A, 2B), Idris Michla (3B) and James Gill (3B).
 

Students this year receive a grade for each module taken at A or AS Level. At AS Level new School Captain Philip Bembridge achieved nine grade As in his ten modules taken. School Vice Captain Victoria Glover obtained eight A grades in her modules, and Head of Sixth Form Azhar Laher achieved six.
